i played around a bit with iMovie and added harmonies!! all harmonies were done by me, but, you can only see one of them.

hello friends.
tonight is a great night! it’s 11:30 pm and i JUST dowloaded my copy of Landon Pigg’s new record, “The Boy Who Never” on iTunes! i’ve been waiting for this album so, i’m very excited to finally have it!!
i can’t even begin to express in words how AMAZING landon pigg is as a performer. His voice is flawless! FLAWLESS!
my favorite song on his new record is called “the boy who never.” Now, this song (the lyrics, i mean) have no real relevance to me personally. i’ve never been in that type of situation really….but the song brings tears to my eyes! (cheesy i know!) i can’t really explain. it’s something that’s way bigger than me. it moves me. you’re just gonna have to hear for yourself…but don’t just buy the song. buy the whole record! it’s well worth your 10.99!

yesterday i focused all my energy on recording my new song called “keep me close.”
it took me 4 long hours to record the drums,guitar,bass,ALL vocal parts, and to put it all together!! although i have lots to learn about mixing a song and bettering the quality of my music i think this is a step in the right direction…i hope! so if you’re on myspace add me up! Lets be friends!!

today was pretty lame until about a couple hours ago when i decided to start recording my new song.
i like this one because it’s different. it doesnt really sound like anything i’ve written before…theres no real structure….which is something i like. i dont like overly structured songs…..do i make any sense???
anyway, just laid down all the guitar parts and the glock. it took me 2 hours! i’m getting a little tired so im gonna save bass, “drums”, and vocals for tomorrow. for all you recording guru’s out there…i know im doing this in the wrong order.

for those who don’t know, Landon will be at The Troubadour this coming Monday, September 21 with Erin McCarley(i think that’s her name.)
me and steph will be there!hopefully working merch!
also, i have a little street show in downtown disney in anaheim this friday! around 6pm in front of the house of blues! it doesn’t cost anything to get into downtown disney. and the first 3 hours of parking is FREE! we’ll be there a little before handing out fliers to promote the channel and after wards too. come out if you’re in the area. it’s gonna be a party!
if you want to help me out with giving people fliers to promote the channel let me know! i’d definitely appreciate the help!

this weekend in cali…
some exciting shows are happening here in california this weekend. here are a few that i think you should check out if you get the chance:
tonight, september 9:
paolo nutini w/ anya marina at The House of Blues in San Diego.
tickets are 21.50 day of show, all ages, doors open at 7:00pm, and the show starts at 8:00pm.
thursday september 10:
brendan benson w/ maxim ludwig & the santa fe seven at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. tickets are 18.00 (unless you want to buy the dinner package),all ages (6+), doors open at 7:30pm, and the show’s at 8:00pm.
if you’re not in the bay and want to catch brendan benson, he will be at the troubadour in WeHo on saturday, september 12 w/ frank fairfield.
tickets are $15.00, all ages, doors open at 8:00pm, and the show’s at 9:00pm.
another show happening on the 10th, is soulsavers feat. mark lanegan w/ jonniene zapata and red ghost at the Troubadour in WeHo. tickets are $15 advance and $18 d.o.s. doors are at 8:00pm and the show starts at 8:30 with red ghost. soulsavers come on at 10:15pm.
friday september 11:
judgement day w/ the impotent ninja and evan bailey at luigi’s fun garden in Sacramento. $6.00, all ages, and the show’s at 8pm. this is the first all ages show in sac-town so don’t miss it kids.

TaughtMe
it’s 4:22 am and i have no idea why the hell im awake but, here i am. so, might as well.
let me introduce to you a band named TaughtMe.
TaughtMe is Blake Henderson. he’s an amazing artist who’s music is at times myseterious and dark, but also fun and full of life. now if that’s not versatility i don’t know what is.
you can definitely see the fire in this guys eyes.
he did an episode of chasing the moon. here, he is supported by the lovely and talented Aubrey Trinnaman.
the first song on the episode is my favorite. i dont know what it’s called though.
it’s like a breath of fresh air…epic.
